Party no more!

Last night was our final party of the holiday season; well for this week. Hugh sigh of relief. It's not that I haven't enjoyed all the efforts made to celebrate the season it's just my waistline can't take the strain any more. I am kidding my self no more that those platters of little nibblies do not have many calories!
It is my true intention to stay home over the next few days and indulge my chicas with home baked goodies from which I shall try to abstain. As chief cook and bottle washer there is slim chance(pun intended) that I will be able to restrain myself for very long.
Our guests arrived late last night and we are off to see the sights today. Then we will prepare for Xmas and our trip to M. P. somehow the sun and warmth are not the best partners to conjure up the feeling of "Twas the Night Before Xmas" Could also be that a house full of teenagers adds to the lack of anticipation. No more mince pies and milk for Santa and frantic Xmas Eve wrapping sessions. Only sleepy teenagers who want to sleep all day and eat at rather odd times in the day.
Well I shall try to engage them all in a spirit of bonhomie and hope that we can create a little festive cheer.

Hope you've been having lots of fun with the chicas and friends!

You can always diet . . . I don't know, sometime.

I took a walk today IN THE FALLING (but not sticking) SNOW!

Had lots of fun with chicas and Houston pallies. Quite the variety of food outings and cultural pit stops. Everyone is suitable impressed with the culinary delights of Lima and my kitchen too.
