Day 2 of my Texas trip, it feels so good to back. I managed to persuade a rather splendid young chap to let me borrow his laptop so that I might tap out a few words. Nothing much changes here (unlike my crazy life path) still road works on I-10, steamy, humid weather only minutes away from a storm, my fave shops and even more Starbucks: (are there any corners Starbuck free here?). The best by far is seeing old and dear friends which was the main reason I started blogging to re-affirm my commitment and attachment to them. Despite this city being a concrete jungle of modernity & speed I feel like I have come home. The friends I have here are home for me, the feeling of camaraderie infuses me with warmth and the the sweet knowledge that these friends will always be with me.
I hit the ground running yesterday and got a lot done and capped off the day with a Bunko reunion. Happy as my gal pals were to see me they remember only too well my habitual winning pattern and so I was relegated to score keeper and not a participant. Well one can hardly be permitted to win the prizes one purchased in Peru.
My hostess is a delight to be with, its as if we are roomies in college sharing laughter,(margaritas) experiences(margaritas), advice and Margaritas!!!!
Must dash as we are off to a BBQ .
Chica 1 arrives tommorow and I am elated at the thought of seeing her but already dreading our parting: as a rather verbose bard once said " parting is such sweet sorrow" ......

I'm so happy for you . . .
It sounds like you are having a great time -- heat and humidity aside. Give chica uno a kiss for me.
I can't believe the Bunko ladies didn't give you a chance!!
